Essential job functions of the Accounting Clerk include:

• Organize and maintain files for all incoming vendor invoices.
• Review/audit employee expense reports to ensure accurate reimbursements in accordance with travel policies/practices.
• Utilize company software tolls to scan, review and import vendor invoices to the ERP system.
• Ensure accurate expense coding on all vouchers.
• Work with buyers, warehouse staff and others to confirm appropriateness of invoices; seek required approvals when necessary.
• Understand and use banking applications to pay vendors and employees - via ACH, book transfers and/or wire transfers.
• Prepare and make periodic bank deposits.
• Match cash receipts to appropriate invoices and make required journal entries.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and financial data.
• Ensure compliance with Kongsberg financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Work as an integral part of the KPS USA Finance team to assist with other department responsibilities, as needed.

An Associate's degree in business, accounting or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of related accounting/finance experience, preferably in a contract manufacturing environment.

Strong organization skills, as well as knowledge and use of Excel and other software tools, such as ERP, Microsoft Office Suite needed. Experience with INFOR ERP-LN, Basware or Jaggaer a plus. Top candidates will be able to demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to work independently or with a team, while also having flexibility to change priorities as team goals and deadlines change. Candidates must be available for some overtime, as necessary.
