GAOWA Montessori is one of the fastest growing Montessori schools in Orange County. Although having recently opened, our school is already nearing full capacity and is expanding quickly. We are in need of quality teachers to meet the demand of enrollment.

The perfect candidate for this part-time position will be a college student who is gertting his/her a degree in early childhood education or someone who would like to work part-time during the afternoon to help us in our after school program.

The assistant teacher will work cohesively with the Lead Teacher to establish and maintain a harmonious classroom, watch children during the time at the playground, and help the students with many of the different after hour activities.

Must be willing to work from 1:pm to 6:00pm Monday thru Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assume certain teaching responsibilities (storytelling, circle time, music, arts)
• Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Track children’s progress and report to management/parents
• Communicate with parents regularly
• Help maintain a clean and tidy school consistent with health and safety standards

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working with Toddlers or Preschool children
• Must have a High School Diploma
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Must demonstrate the ability to work well with young children
• Provide proof of vaccination against COVID 19

Compensation: $17-$20, Commensurate to education and experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Preschool / Early Childhood Education: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• 12 units of Early Education Credits (Preferred)
