MBA Marketing Internship Overview

You, as a BD MBA Intern, will have access to a broad group of business leaders and professionals who can provide insight, feedback and information for your project as needed and requested by your management team. You will develop skills in managing customer relationships by developing rapport with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Business Challenge/Intern Responsibilities

The MBA intern will have the opportunity to refine a business case and corresponding strategic plan around an adjacent market opportunity, as well as develop an actionable plan to help the platform to achieve the company’s 2030+ sustainability strategy. During the internship, the MBA intern will be expected to:

• Confirm and validate market opportunities
• Evaluate or develop market research, voice of customer research, and key opinion leader commentary into key value drivers for the customer, including clinical and economic stakeholders
• Assess the competitive landscape
• Define commercial segmentation and targeting, including resulting promotional plans
• Work with key regional partners around the globe to identify critical ESG needs and objectives
• Collaborate with technical experts to identify and recommend actionable plans for the next 2-3 years to achieve the ESG targets and to promote to customers otherwise-unseen ESG efforts to date
• Support strategic regional launches within the PIVC portfolio

Throughout this process, the MBA intern will have the opportunity to work with internal stakeholders in Global and Regional Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Medical Affairs and will experience firsthand how the Global Marketing organization operates and drives outcomes for the business. This assignment will also provide the MBA intern with the opportunity to learn about other BD businesses while trying to identify any cross-divisional growth opportunities. Additionally, this position will have tremendous exposure to commercial integration, global/US marketing, and business leadership while providing broad view of BD and our key customers.

Qualifications/Areas of Focus

• Rising 2nd year MBA student at time of internship (Anticipated graduation of 2024)
• Proven track record of collaborating cross-functionally to execute initiatives
• Ability to analyze industry research, competitive information, and customer input to create business plans
• Experience or knowledge in healthcare field, product management, marketing, and/or strategy preferred
• Ability to work the full duration of the 10-12 week internship
• Some positions may also require a technical degree and/or experience in medical device, pharmaceuticals, or health care
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction as to duration
