The Opportunity:
Ideal energy is seeking an assistant bookkeeper to join our growing team. You will provide assistance to
our Senior Accountant, support to employees, and reception services for customers. A successful
candidate will be a self-starter, excited by a fast paced, growth-focused environment and enjoy solving
challenges. A meticulous attention to detail and excellent customer service skills are a must. This
position reports to senior accounting staff as well as the CEO/CMO.
- Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality as it pertains to all financial records of the
- Perform receptionist duties including answering phones, greeting clients, and receiving
- Assist in daily reconciliation of checks received to outstanding invoices.
- Assist in weekly reconciliation of sold projects in sales pipeline to QuickBooks
- Assist in preparing bank deposits.
- Assist Senior Accountant with A/P and A/R, as needed
- Proper maintenance of inventory in Quickbooks
- Assist with monthly reconciliation of statement bank and supporting journal entries.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Creating monthly, quarterly, or yearly commission’s payable calendars for the sales department.
- Tracking sales commissions, generating monthly reports, and corresponding with the HR and
- Assisting senior accounting staff in preparation of annual budgets by department
- Assistance with analytical evaluation of income statement
- Assist in maintaining growth plan and measuring execution
- Direct sales inquiries to the sales team
- Meticulously maintain company documents and records with scanning, filing and organizing
- Maintain office supplies and basic kitchen provisions for coffee and tea service
- Assist booking company travel
- Assist with client paperwork, permitting and applications relevant to executing solar and storage
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace
- Always demonstrate exemplary ethics and professionalism
- Conduct other duties as required
- A minimum of 2 years of proven bookkeeping experience, construction or manufacturing
- Accounting experience using QuickBooks Enterprise version.
- Proven vendor relationship management.
- Proven delivery, and product quality tracking support.
- Proven leadership performance.

Location & Schedule:
This will be an in-office position based in Fairfield, Iowa. Our office hours are 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday
through Friday.
