Description:

The Clinical Staff Pharmacist 2 provides pharmaceutical care to Baptist Health patients of all ages through medication order review, preparation, dispensing, documentation, monitoring, patient counseling, and medication reconciliation. The Clinical Staff Pharmacist 2 collaborates with patients, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective, and fiscally responsible patient-centered care Clinical Pharmacist 2 interprets, reviews and processes medication orders, screens orders for appropriateness and intervenes as warranted. Clinical Pharmacist 2, works with physicians, care managers, and other clinical staff, as part of a medical care team focusing on patient outcomes, while maintaining cost. Additionally serves as a mentor and develops clinical skills of junior staff. Precept pharmacy students, technician students in collaboration with the Pharmacy management team. Actively participates in developing and presenting educational topics, and staff development programs when requested. Assists in performance improvement projects, drug use evaluations, formulary reviews and research projects. Estimated pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications:

Degrees: Bachelors Licenses & Certifications: Registered Pharmacist Additional Qualifications: Bachelor of Science required. PGY1 or Board Certification required within 1 year of hire. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) preferred. Preferred Progressive pharmaceutical care experience (or) Pharmacy Residency. Each year of PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency counts for 3 years of experience. If candidate has no residency a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience or more can qualify. Minimum Required Experience:
