PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is very important to the growth, development and success of the Company and is responsible for direct financial leadership to the Company, and its senior management, to enable the Company to achieve its strategic and financial goals. The Controller is expected to perform and oversee accounting duties of a complex nature requiring advanced professional education and experience, knowledge and competency particularly in cost & management accounting, and US GAAP accounting reporting principles and practices. Key responsibilities of this position include:

• Overall responsibility for all cost and management accounting & financial reporting functions, cash management, internal controls, internal accounting systems development, and financial reporting & variance analysis on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual and ad-hoc basis
• Providing leadership to accounting department staff & Company management, to help them understand the financial results of operations, & manage operations more effectively & efficiently
• Develop and provide job costing analysis of operations and variance analysis as required
• Proactively develops, leads and implements continuous improvement in, and adoption of, improved systems and procedures across the Company, for increased margins, control & efficiency
• Recruiting, inducting, mentoring, training & leading an effective accounting team
• Responsible for month end close, reconciling GL accounts, reconciling control accounts, journal entries and adjustments, & AR & AP reconciliations
• Responsible for oversight of all accounting functions such as customer invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets recording, purchasing, inventory control, general accounting and bank reporting
• Maintains effective relationships with banks, insurance brokers, & other professional firms
• Directs completion of annual budgeting process, forecasts and cash flow planning
• Responsible for insurance oversight & renewals, to ensure Company assets are adequately protected

QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES DESIRED:
E*DUCATION & EXPERIENCE: *

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or equivalent, CPA desirable
• Ten years or more of corporate accounting or CPA experience, with progressively more leadership responsibility, with a focus on cost and management accounting, and financial reporting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
