Reports to: CFO

Compensation: $130-155K Base, 30% Bonus and Equity

Job Responsibilities

• Play a strategic role in the evolution of the rebate system and process
• Ensure an efficient operational process and timely resolution to disputes
• Administer the manufacturer / wholesaler rebate contracts on behalf of Sun Auto Tire and Service including the upfront rebate research and invoicing functions and backend cash collection/payment reconciliation function
• Includes the oversight of three key functional areas: Rebate Research, Rebate Invoicing and Rebate Collections and Reconciliation
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to maintain and improve reporting methods which requires prioritizing and meeting month-end deadlines for accounting closing
• Analyze reports to ensure that rebates are meeting the highest quality and accuracy and maintain open communication with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff to resolve rebate issues
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve current and future discrepancies on their rebate reports and improve the overall reporting methods
• Monitor and maintain tracking systems for manufacturer and wholesaler rebate contracts
• Perform assessments on rebate programs and coordinate with operations and procurement to maximize manufacturer rebate yields
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, controls, and regulations with maintaining appropriate operational metrics and current training materials.
• Promote and ensure effective collaboration with key partners (FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Procurement) to ensure alignment and maximize vendor rebate revenue
• Set strategic direction for the team including setting goals and expectations, couching and feedback of the team leaders and personnel, career development planning, performance reviews, strategic planning, and staffing decisions

Job Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in accounting
• Excellent leadership skills necessary to lead, inspire, develop, mentor, and engage a cross-functional team.
• Ability to lead strategic and cultural change across the organization
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships across functional units
• CPA preferred

Required Skills

• Excellent Analytical Skills
• Proficiency in Excel, including ability to use complex formulas and analyze large quantities of data.
• Ability to articulate processes and research results.
