Engineering Applications Specialist

Bausch Advanced Technologies Inc., a global leader in the pharmaceutical packaging machinery industry, currently has an opening for an Engineering Applications Specialist to build and maintain various company databases. Duties of the Applications Specialist include providing support to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and Technical Director in managing our database systems. Our ideal candidate has previous experience in a manufacturing facility and has taken interest in Engineering software suites.

Responsibilities:

· Working with the end-users to ensure that the programs are meeting the needs of the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Departments

· Continuing to facilitate the migration to SOLIDWORKS Process Data Management (PDM) system used in the Mechanical Engineering Department

· Maintain our SOLIDWORKS PDM system after completion and provide assistance on best practices

· Finalize the upgrade to our Zuken E3.series database used in the Electrical Engineering Department

· Maintain our Zuken E3.series database after upgrading and provide assistance on best practices

· Generate analytics and reports on data performance

· Generate reports based on data input, as needed

· Perform database maintenance, such as system upgrades, as needed

· Support the documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) involved in our database management

Qualifications:

· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related field

· 2+ years of experience working in a data support role

· Knowledgeable in SQL database management

· Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel

· Knowledgeable with scripting

· Must be dependable

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Must be able to multi-task and prioritize

· Attention to detail and problem solving skills

· Manufacturing background or technical aptitude is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
