Full-Time Graphic Designer Job Description

Join our team! If you love graphic design in a fun and friendly office atmosphere, this could be the job for you. The Putnam Sentinel, (www.putnamsentinel.com) a weekly newspaper/website based in Ottawa, Ohio, is seeking a graphic designer to support the newspaper’s print and digital design. The Sentinel also publishes the Ada Herald and the Columbus Grove Vidette, which are both weekly publications, as well. Note: this is not a remote position and the candidate must live within commuting distance. The qualified candidate will be creative, organized, should be able to handle multiple deadlines and possess good communication skills. Knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop are a must and Illustrator is a plus. Some of the tasks that the graphic designer will perform include: working with the sales department to design “spec” ads, prepare the print version of the newspaper for pre-press and upload content and graphics to the website.
