We are hiring a graduate Engineer with 1 year of design experience looking to challenge themselves on a professional level contributing to a variety of projects. We are looking for a Structural EIT who will thrive in a team environment and have pride in the work they do.

Schedule and Salary:

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Starting yearly salary is $67,000.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 Assist with structural engineering analyses and design for projects of all sizes while working on several projects concurrently.  Assist in preparation of construction contract documents, plans, reports, and estimates.  Perform calculations using company standard software. Calculations will be reviewed by supervisor.  Ability to effectively communicate with team members.  Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.  Assist with new and potential client meetings to demonstrate SCP’s abilities.

Requirements:

 Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for team-based working.  General knowledge of AutoCAD.  Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.  Familiar with MathCAD.  Ability to quickly absorb and utilize company-specific techniques, standards, and procedures.  Excellent planning and organization skills.  Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.

Education and Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structures, Master’s degree a plus.  Proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including building plans and specifications. Exceptional knowledge of construction processes and procedures.  EIT certification, or ability to get it within six months after being hired.  1 year of relevant experience performing structural analysis and design.
