Position Overview:

Full-time salary position involving graphic design, typesetting, proofreading and customer service skills. Must be proficient on Mac platform. Must be able to work independently in a corporate office environment. Organization skills are required and able to work with tight deadlines on a weekly basis. This position is located 275 Schoolhouse Road, Cheshire, CT and is an in corporate office position. Must also have knowledge of social media platforms and able prepare ads and content from print edition for online import. Experience with social media platforms and e-newsletters for various businesses.

Responsibilities:

Must be client service oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Generate new design ideas to refresh existing marketing materials Take part in a team-oriented, collaborative approach to design.

Manage multiple projects and deadlines, both under supervision and on your own

Create proofs for client approval make revisions to art files as necessary

Design/build marketing materials, ads, forms, reprints and collateral materials used for sales and promotion.

Required:

Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photo Shop, Illustrator and Acrobat

Experience in creating posts, pages, and design campaigns for social media marketing including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint & Word

Experience with Constant Contact and Mailchimp e-newsletter programs

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Print and Digital Portfolio samples that demonstrates visual design skills, typography and strong attention to detail

Manages time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities

Comfortable in fast-paced environment

Preferred:

Education Required • BA/BS degree in Graphic Design/Visual Arts & Communication, or equivalent by experience

Experience with Ad Creation/Logo Design

Understanding of print and digital publishing

At least 4 years’ experience designing print and online marketing and branding
