We have an immediate opening for a Graphic Designer in ZGF’s New York City office. We seek a driven professional who desires an opportunity to grow their career in a collaborative, team-oriented design environment. Our firm thrives on multidisciplinary engagement, while practicing at the intersection of architecture, interiors, urban design, experiential graphic design, and fabrication. A successful candidate is self-motivated, curious, and brings an appetite to consistently “raise the bar.”

The current compensation range for this role is $70,000 to $110,000 annually, dependent on education and experience.

As a Graphic Designer, you will...

• Join an experienced, creative marketing team
• Develop, design, and creatively solve complex design challenges for print, presentation, web, and experiential graphics
• Be responsible for the design and production of graphics associated with the New York office and firmwide marketing and communications efforts, including: qualifications, proposals, diagrams, infographics, social media content, presentations, and templates
• Collaborate with project teams in branding, experiential graphic design, corporate identity systems, signage commissions, design guidelines, and design reports
• Advance projects with minimal oversight
• Maintain graphic assets for ZGF projects
• Update design knowledge by participating in professional organizations, researching technology and production techniques, and maintaining personal networks
• Engage in a consistent pursuit of innovation in order to raise the bar

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts or related design, with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience
• Experience in the architectural field or with environmental graphic design is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail
• Advanced experience and proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and PowerPoint is a must; working knowledge of database programs (Deltek Vision, Axomic OpenAsset) is a plus
• Strong conceptual graphic design skills
• Strong storytelling and problem-solving skills—the ability to distill multiple ideas into clear and compelling graphics
• Experience working with current and evolving digital technology and media, and printing and production techniques
• Ability to work quickly in a deadline-driven environment, respond to and prioritize multiple requests, be responsive to the time-critical nature of marketing deadlines
• Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills
• Proficiency in review of design details, such as typography, alignment, and hierarchy
• Ability to work on PC platform
• Able to travel to other ZGF offices and/or client project locations as needed
