Position Description:
The USAID/Zambia Mission, informed by its Country Development Cooperation Strategy, is putting in place a set of strategic and programmatic approaches to strengthen the effectiveness and focus with which the mission advances both localization and private sector engagement. As part of the effort to communicate this commitment, the Mission is in the process of developing two brochures, on localization and private sector engagement. The Mission has finalized the writing for the brochures and would like to engage the services of a graphic designer to help conceptualize, design and produce two effective brochure designs for print and online usage.
Job Type: Temporary, Consultant
Location: Virtual
LOE: 80 Hours
Starting Salary: $450/daily
Responsibilities:
- Consult with USAID/Zambia Mission to make decisions on the overall layout and design for print and digital media. A couple of good examples from different Missions will be shared to inform conceptualization.
- Follow USAID Design Policy and represent USAID brand correctly
- Execute brochure design and layout for print and digital distribution. Wording for the brochures and photographs relevant to the two topics will be made available.
- Regularly communicate project status to USAID/Zambia Mission and seek input
DELIVERABLES:
- Design and layout for the two brochures on localization and private sector engagement, for print and digital media.
- Additional graphic design work to be determined with remaining hours.
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in Graphic Design.
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Up to date with and highly skilled in design and photography software
- Professionalism with time and cost management and communication with USAID/Zambia Mission
