The HR Generalist is responsible for compliance coordination, supporting Producers, CSRs and clients of the Employee Benefits Department. This position is responsible to build and sustain relationships with existing customers (internal and external) and to ensure compliance deadlines are met, as well as create procedures when new regulations affect employee benefits. The primary line of business is group insurance / employee benefits.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Daily contacts with internal and external customers, and carriers, which encompasses information exchange and problem solving.
• Compliance coordinator
• Implementation support
• Sales support
• Create reports, letters, documents, presentations, comparisons and other work from various sources of raw data and verifying accuracy of end result prior to distribution.
• Create invoices and perform specialized services for select clients.
• Must be able to work independently, with little or no supervision, and with a high level of accuracy. Must also be able to work within a team environment, assisting others as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

• High School diploma and advanced education preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• HR Generalist and/or Benefits Specialist experience.
• Thorough technical knowledge of MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and ability to learn other software programs as needed.
• Advanced math skills with the ability to accurately work to balance, invoice, audit and create reports.
• Compliance coordination preferred with technical knowledge of Federal and State laws affecting group insurance such as COBRA, HIPAA, HITECH, the Affordable Care Act, 1095 Reporting, RxDc Reporting, and CMS regulations.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

CONTINUING EDUCAITON/TRAINING:

• As required by applicable statutes and regulations or departmental needs.
