Human Resources Generalist

Zajac LLC is looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will perform the daily functions of the HR department. The Human Resources Generalist will work under the direction of the Accounting and HR Manager to administer pay, benefits, and leave, and to enforce company policies and practices.

Based on experience.

Education

Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, and with a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with ADP.
  • Ability to work in office Monday-Friday 8-5.

Responsibilities

  • Processes new hire onboarding, and employee terminations.
  • Maintains employee personnel, and benefits folders.
  • Performs all tasks relating to payroll processing such as employee timesheet review, hours and earnings entry into ADP, and payroll approval and submittal.
  • Administers benefit enrollments, terminations, and reconciles benefits payroll deductions.
  • Tracks, and reconciles employee Paid Time Off balances, and retains time off requests.
  • Receives, processes, and manages employee payroll changes.
  • Maintains compliance with state and federal labor poster requirements.
  • Implements, reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory training including but not limited to anti-harassment training.
  • Manages and processes unemployment claims, and requests for employment verifications.
  • Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Updates employee handbooks to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Works with department managers in recruiting, and employee retention.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
