We have an immediate opening for an intelligent and highly detail-oriented personal assistant to support the owner of a busy accounting, tax, and real estate business. As a key part of this role, you’ll often need to come to our house in South Tucson, so proximity to the house is a key requirement. Our house is located 1.5 miles directly south of downtown, not far from the intersection of 6th Avenue and 23rd Street.
Please Note: The hours for this job are extremely flexible. If you only have 15 hours per week available, please apply. Ideally, we would prefer to hire you for about 20-30 hours per week. This job is probably ideal for anyone who is currently a full-time student and looking to earn some extra income. It is also well suited for anyone who can work only one or two weekdays per week. If you can also work on weekends, this is a plus but not required.
A professional interest in ACCOUNTING, TAX LAW, REAL ESTATE or MARKETING would be ideal. If you are planning to grow your career in any of these directions, we can help you integrate into our larger-scale business activities.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
You will be assisting the owner with various administrative tasks such as calendar management, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and responding to emails. Part of the job will also involve supporting the household. This may include running errands, shopping, cleaning, cooking simple meals, cleaning, taking clothes to the laundromat or dry cleaner, playing with the cat, and generally keeping everything at the house well organized.

Admin
.....Create reminders for important tasks and deadlines
.....Support various small administrative projects
.....Organizing papers, and filing papers
Property Admin
.....Coordinate small home repair projects
.....Coordinate with vendors and contractors
Money Management
.....Pay bills, help to manage various recurring expenses
Personal
.....Shop for food, or any needed household or office items
.....Help to maintain a wardrobe; organize closets and purchase clothes as needed.
.....Take materials to recycling facility
Research
.....Engage in a wide array of online research projects, some quite complex
Marketing
.....Support various local marketing activities
WHO YOU ARE:
You like to take initiative
You are extremely bright & exceptionally organized
You have exceptionally strong written communication skills
Highly trustworthy (excellent references)
Strong research skills, and web-savvy
BONUS:
Fast typing skills
Proficiency in Google Docs, and other common web collaboration tools
Experience with calendar management
Experience or interest in marketing
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
If you are also fluent in Spanish, this is another plus, but not required
Bachelor’s degree is a plus, but not required
