Industrial Engineer – Electro-Mechanical Quality Engineering Coordinator:

Job Summary:
A Quality Engineering Coordinator is a team leader responsible for quality engineering support for industrial electro-mechanical products that have been released for production. The Quality Engineering Coordinator leads a team that understands how to leverage current quality assurance capabilities to streamline the inspection and nonconforming material processes related to current and new product design. The Quality Engineering Coordinator may also lead cross functional teams to resolve any technical and product specific quality issues that arise and to continuously improve quality engineering processes and the quality of the products produced.

Job Responsibilities of a Quality Engineering Coordinator:
    • Coordinate the resources to troubleshoot and resolve new or reoccurring quality issues of technical products
    • Research quality assurance techniques to support assigned quality engineering projects
    • Develops technical quality assurance expertise in all team members on all products including optics and electronics
    • Improves quality assurance test protocols, work instructions and fixturing
    • Provide design for quality assurance feedback to engineering and development teams
    • Participates as a member of technical review boards for applicable projects
    • Creates Engineering Change Requests (ECR)
    • Understands and conducts work practices in compliance with current quality standards
    • Work closely with all other Team leaders to reduce internal and external product related quality failures
    • Coordinates the daily operation and supervision of personnel and processes involved in inspection/SPC (FAI, work instructions, etc.), nonconforming material reviews, metrology, and gauge control
    • Other quality related duties as assigned

Skills of a Quality Engineering Coordinator::
    • Ability to lead large projects
    • Ability to communicate independently and effectively with all levels of management
    • Advanced knowledge of quality assurance, production, and process techniques
    • Willingness to support production order fulfillment process as needed

Qualifications of a Quality Engineering Coordinator::
    • Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or equivalent with 5 years experience
    • Coursework in Design for Manufacturability and Quality Assurance a plus
    • Certification in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing training a plus

Job Detail of a Quality Engineering Coordinator:
    • Full time with benefits
    • Day shift Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
    • Salary DOE

Essential Functions of a Quality Engineering Coordinator:
    • Breathing well with face covering that meets CDC guidance (when required)
    • Use of upper body, arms, and hands throughout the day
    • Lifting 10-20 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
    • Bending, stooping, and reaching overhead throughout the day to reach materials to move or pickup
    • Normal color vision (due to different colored wires)
    • Able to work regularly with epoxy, glues, sealants
