The inside sales representative will work in cooperation with outside sales and other members of the company to grow existing customers, create new customers and meet and/or exceed customer satisfaction while maintaining appropriate gross margin. The person receives (by telephone, fax, e-mail, etc.) requests for orders, and lead times from customers. He or She relays pertinent order information to customers. Coordinates with other departments in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers. All duties are performed in such a way that the customer is the primary responsibility.

Job Duties:

• Receives purchase order, order changes, adjustment, and cancellations directly from customer. Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service.
• Uses all available information from individuals and computer to retrieve customer information, status of purchase orders, and makes changes to customer purchase orders.
• Follows up on inquiries by checking with manufacturing for delivery information. Works closely with production control regarding deliveries of scheduled shipments.
• Checks with credit department concerning credit status of customers when needed.
• Maintains files of active orders and tracks items such as change notices, partial shipment, and credit changes.
• Prepares paperwork for return goods (RGA) to be given to accounting department for credit or debit to be issues. (Creates RGA list and maintains this list for authorization of returned goods as well as documenting returns for credit)
• Monitors scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
• Upon job completion and item(s) have shipped, prepares prices for unquoted items and returns job packet to accounting. Projects completed where the price has been quoted, needs to be turned to accounting. Periodic after costing needs to be done on projects.
• Contact customers following sales to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
• Prepare cost estimating spread sheets
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
• Perform other duties as assigned
