We’re looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our team!

The IT Business Analyst … performs a variety of tasks to support the ongoing analysis and administration of information systems and will be the subject matter expert for internal and external customers. This position will work closely with vendors and internal IT partners to ensure growth through analysis and database maintenance.

In this exciting role, you will:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Develop and maintain multiple reports in a variety of applications such as Power BI, and Tableau
• Support the implementation on ongoing administration of business intelligence systems
• Gathering, design, and develop complex data systems that collect, analyze, and measure data throughout all company departments
• Work with vendors and internal partners, as the subject matter expert, to ensure that all technical requirements for projects are internally established and maintained
• Develop functional requirements and workflows to be used in application development such as queries, reports, and validation
• Document processes and controls and regularly track control performance and effectiveness with the aim to identify gaps and introduce improvements
• Analyze and update processes with a continuous improvement mind-set and disciplined approach to identify opportunities and feasible solutions to implement across the company
• Minimize time and effort to gather information and maximize the impact of analysis by incorporating actionable insights
• Actively engage and work closely with colleagues to understand how ASC operates and where improvements can be made to support the company business model
• Continuously explore BI options and present risks and opportunities to senior management
• Lead and manage special projects needed, as required by this role

• Proven experience using skills for analyzing, modeling, and reporting with attention to detail and data integrity
• Possess proficiency towards innovative systems for current and emerging technologies
• Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
• Ability to adapt to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances
• Ability to analyze key business drivers, then translate the findings into insights and actions, and their implications in the overall business
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities and projects to successful completion
• Work with large data sets, analyze the data to understand the underlying business implications, engage in discussions on what the data means, summarize findings with an actionable approach
• Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency, resolve problems timely and maintain patience while working on escalated support issues
• Successful working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Your education & experience should be similar to:

• Bachelor’s degree or IT related degree or relevant work experience
• Must have 3+ years of IT Analyst experience
• Experience with spreadsheet design, analytic reporting, data collection, and graphical representation required Experience developing and working with application interfaces across systems required
• SQL sequel experience required
• Hyperion Essbase, Oracle, Tableau or other BI tool experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including a high level of Excel expertise required

The annualized base salary range for the IT Business Analyst is $60,000-$75,000. Animal Supply Company (ASC) compensation is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to role, level, and location. In addition, ASC’s pay can vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience for each candidate for the posted position. Included in ASC’s total compensation are benefits such as medical, dental, and retirement.
