Summary:

We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures while utilizing gained educational knowledge and experience.

Develop, maintain, document and support applications for various departments throughout the company. Intern will work as a part of an enterprise team whose primary focus is to proactively plan, design, build and maintain the organization’s various corporate and store supporting systems.

Essential Functions:

• Develop, support, and implement advanced Java applications with a focus on enterprise-scale reliability.
• Develop, support, and implement website applications (Java 1.8, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
• Conduct details tested, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Work with system, network, database administrators and computer operations staff to insure smooth implementation and support of applications.
• Work closely with business partners at multiple levels.
• Qualifications:
• Proficiency in a programming language.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate customer and business requirements into workable solutions.
  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Good research and analytical skills
• Knowledge of copywriting and editing
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
  

Minimum Requirements:

· Must be detail oriented

· Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally

· Must have the ability to collaborate with a team and contribute to insights

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to look at computer monitors for 8 hours a day

• Must have the ability to use hands and fingers. Using them to type, manage copiers and/or printers.

• Must be able to exert up to at least 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
  

Work Environment:

This job is done in a traditional office environment. There will be extended periods of sitting.
