As a Landscape Operations Manager employed by Alff Construction, you will coordinate all work performed by Alff employees for your assigned region. You will oversee the progress of projects while ensuring compliance with industry and company standards. You will supervise employee operations in landscaping, parking lot sweeping, snow removal, and other various interior and exterior services. You will train your employees on company processes and procedures as well as safety practices. You should be knowledgeable of trade equipment, performance methods, safety, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assign work to and supervise Site Supervisors in maintenance and reactive work within assigned facility in a timely manner
• Develop and submit proposals for new projects, keeping budgets, costs, and margins in mind
• Coordinate with clients on Alff-performed job sites
• Manage labor staffing within territory
• Manage and delegate maintenance of Alff-owned equipment within territory
• Manage, plan, and forecast staff hours and overtime needs
• Evaluate the performance of staff, identify, and execute performance plans, and conduct disciplinary action as needed
• Handle emergencies appropriately according to established procedures; prepare and file incident reports
• Manage Alff facility within your territory including maintenance, improvements, and staff

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 3+ years' experience as a manager
• Sound knowledge of exterior property maintenance and industry standards
• Working knowledge of vehicles, construction tools, and landscaping equipment
• Ability to work in the elements (snow removal, landscaping)
• Outstanding leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt, improvise and overcome obstacles
• Ability to delegate, problem-solve, and manage time effectively
• Ability to remain consistent
• Confidence to thrive under pressure
• Valid Operator’s License
• CDL License Preferred

Education and Experience:

• 3+ years' experience as a landscape manager, or a similar field
• High school diploma or GED
