FUNCTION
The Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for reducing the loss of Company assets and for developing, implementing, training, and maintaining programs that ensure that Company loss prevention standards/goals are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain a Company-wide Loss Prevention Program that will reduce inventory shrink, enhance customer service, and positively impact the growth of the Company.
Develop, implement, and maintain all appropriate employee training programs, to include:
· Shoplifting prevention/awareness
· Employee theft prevention/awareness
· Cash handling and credit card fraud prevention
· Sensormatic
· Apprehension/interviewing procedures and techniques
Develop and implement internal procedure audits ensuring operational processes/procedures are followed to minimize internal and external theft, proper receiving controls and other potential areas of loss. This may include trips to any and all Runnings locations.
Develops and maintains partnerships of responsibilities for store management of POS/cash handling, fraud prevention and identification theft.
Responsible for the physical security of buildings and facilities to include the Company’s loss prevention alarm systems and tools, making recommendations for changes/updates as necessary on areas such as:
· Sensormatic system
· Building/Store security
· Door control
· Camera systems
· Deactivation system
· Emergency processes/procedures
Participate with senior management in high dollar shoplifting/theft investigations, ensuring appropriate procedures are followed and working with local authorities as necessary.
Develop and submit appropriate reports to Executive Management providing the appropriate information at the appropriate timing to keep them informed of our loss prevention progress, projects, and other updates.
Significant travel will be required to Runnings’ store and distribution center locations.
Any and all other duties as necessary to effectively perform the purpose of this position.
