Who we are and what we're looking for:

The Sycamore is seeking a part-time lounge server to add to our talented team in the dining room that has prior restaurant/service industry experience, is eager to learn, and able to adapt and grow as our team does the same. If food/beverage service is your passion, we are more than happy to facilitate and grow that passion.

Locally owned and operated, The Sycamore is a fine dining restaurant located inside the historic Chatham Mills of Pittsboro, NC. We operate with a focus on the Chefs and their talents, using as many local meat and produce purveyors as possible to produce the highest quality possible, as well as changing our menus seasonally.

The environment is described by our employees as laid back, team based, quality focused, and together working towards consistent improvement.

Hours of Operation and Pay

We value our employees time off. Sunday and Monday off nearly every week, Tuesday is daytime kitchen prep only, Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday are dinner service days with service beginning at 5pm and ending at 9:30pm each evening.

Pay is on a bi-weekly schedule and will be determined based on experience and may exceed what is listed on the job posting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Able to learn and communicate the details of our menu to guests
• Answer, report and follow management team and lead server's instructions
• Clean up and reset station(s) at end of service
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
