Responsibilities:
BUDGET MANAGEMENT –
- This position will be directly responsible for actively managing, reviewing and making recommendations for the operating/capital/grants budgets for the SoAD. All requests for funding by any faculty or staff will be sent to the manager for review and authorization prior to purchasing.

PROCUREMENT CARD MANAGEMENT: This position will act on Dean's behalf and be approver in the P-card Management system for all purchases for ALL FACULTY AND STAFF.
STAFF MANAGEMENT –
- Within the new leadership structure of SoAD, the incumbent will:

Be a member of the Leadership team
-
Manage the day-to-day tasks, workload, and efficiency
-
Be the Supervisory Approver in Oracle for all administrative specialists, administrative assistants and coordinators throughout the SoAD.
- Handle staff complaints and issues, following NYIT protocol.
- Be charged with Coordination of a School of Architecture and Design Staff Council - conduct monthly staff meetings, outline SoAD departmental procedures.
- Act as liaison between dean and leadership team/faculty/staff.
- Will participate in leadership team meetings/events/special projects.
CONTRACT MANAGEMENT –
- Review contracts for lecturers, honorariums, workshops, University partnerships, etc. All contracts will first go through the Manager for review (then to Dean/Legal).
- Manager will work with legal and academic affairs to process all contracts for the school

Hire and manage payment process for all vendors per terms of contracts.
EVENT MANAGEMENT –
- This position will serve as Point of Contact for SoAD Executive Friends (Alumni/donors) and for major FRIENDS events (e.g. Friends lecture and Annual Alumni Event - every fall)

Act as logistics coordinator for Accreditation visits with NAAB and CIDA.
- Procure vendors for events, manage contracts and payments to vendors.
HR RELATED TASKS –
- Recommend new needs for the SoAD and oversee creation of recruitment authorizations for new faculty and staff positions, temporary workers and change of status, etc.

Coordinate interview/hiring process for new faculty/staff on Old Westbury and Manhattan campuses

Supervise onboarding of new faculty/staff/student workers (HR paperwork, account set up, etc.)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. administration, finance, management) preferred. Or 3-5 years of previous financial/budgeting experience is required.-
Budget management and senior administrative/support staff experience required

Higher Ed experience preferred

Ability to work independently and proactively with little direction

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all areas including finance/budgeting, writing, editing, and proof-reading

Experience in division-wide budget management

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
Minimum Salary: USD $80,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary: USD $93,000.00/Yr.
