New Bedford based MED seeks a career-minded individual to perform a variety of important roles, such as reviewing market data to determine appropriate pricing for used medical equipment, analyzing physical attributes of equipment, performing hospital equipment pickups (includes driving 26' truck 1 to 2 days/wk on avg), coordinating the removal and transportation of equipment, communicating with MED sales personnel, and more. In addition, this person will be responsible for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of processing MED's inventory at the company's headquarters in New Bedford, MA.

Market Data & Physical Assessment: Involves analyzing market data and physical attributes of various medical devices to determine appropriate pricing for used medical equipment. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Warehouse Logistics: Involves managing the storage and distribution of used medical equipment to healthcare organizations worldwide. Responsibilities include organizing, tracking, and maintaining inventory accuracy, as well as coordinating the timely and efficient delivery of equipment to customers. Attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment are essential for the success of this role.

Equipment Pickups & Transport: Involves managing the retrieval and transportation of used medical equipment from hospitals and other healthcare organizations. This role is responsible for coordinating and scheduling equipment pickups, ensuring that all equipment is properly packaged and secured for transport, and safely transporting the equipment back to the company's warehouse for storage and refurbishment. This role will require exceptional communication skills, as the individual will be representing the company while on-site and must present themselves in a professional and courteous manner. The roles requires the ability to lift equipment and operate a 26' non-CDL truck (standard drivers license is fine) with a lift gate. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required to be considered for this position. The successful candidate must be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer service.

Skills and Requirements

  • Solid computer skills (must pass basic speed and accuracy typing test)
  • Enjoys technology and does not mind hands-on physical labor
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with coworkers and clients
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 Lbs.
  • Willing to travel (driving a 26' non CDL truck) to client facilities (usually Hospitals) for same-day Equipment Pickups; this is typically 1 to 2 days a week
  • Professional and career-minded
