Hennig, Inc. located in the Rockford, IL area has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer in our Chip Conveyor and Filtration Systems group. A Bachelors Degree is preferred, or in lieu of Education, at least 3 years related experience.

The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter with an excellent work ethic, and the ability to work in a multi-project, team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications include:

• Conceptual design skills and 3-D modeling utilizing SolidWorks, Inventor, and ACAD softwares
• Machine tool background & shet metal experience
• Well versed in Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Ability to design using pumps, plumbing, motors, and motion control components
• Strong communication skills
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability
• Thorough and detail oriented
• Able to work with speed, accuracy, and able to handle stress in a fast-paced environment

The Responsibilites of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Create and maintain Engineering drawings, bill of materials, routings, and manufacturing programs
• Process ECN's & Andon change requests as required
• Maintain Engineering lead times
• Ensure that design input, approval drawings and Engineering packages are reviewed and accurate
• Provide customer, sales, and shop support as necessary
• Provide Engineering innovations for chip conveyor and filtration systems
• Maintain product design costs
