IVEK Corporation is looking to add a Mechanical Designer to the Engineering Department!

The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Mechanical Engineering Design, Drafting & Documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct and participate in the preparation of engineering design detail, assembly and fabrication drawings (including Excel part lists) from three-dimension solid model design layouts.
• Create three-dimensional solid model design layouts.
• Revise existing engineering drawings per Engineering Change Request/Notification (ECR/N) and Document Change Request/Notification (DCR/N).
• Check engineering drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform any other required department tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated ability in the application of general drafting practice.
• Training and demonstrated ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to engineering drawings per ASME Y14.5.
• Strong computer skills are required, especially in CAD programs for mechanical design. Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS is required.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel is desirable.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum: Two-year technical degree in Engineering Technology (or similar) with 5 years of practical work experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
