IVEK Corporation is looking to add a Mechanical Designer- Drafter to the Engineering Department!

The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Mechanical Engineering Design, Drafting & Documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct and participate in the preparation of engineering design detail, assembly and fabrication drawings from three-dimension solid model design layouts.
• Create three-dimensional solid model design layouts.
• Revise existing engineering drawings per Engineering Change Request/Notification (ECR/N) and Document Change Request/Notification (DCR/N).
• Check engineering drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform any other required department tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of fluidics; hydraulics systems, fluid dynamics, pumps, and valves is highly desirable. Familiarity with precision mechanical systems and high accuracy motion control is required.
• Good computer skills in CAD programs for mechanical design, preferably SolidWorks.
• Ability to work efficiently on multiple design assignments simultaneously.
• Willingness to learn more advance engineering concepts and share knowledge with others.
• Ability to work autonomously or in small teams, defining and meeting long-term project goals without extensive supervision.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum: A two-year technical degree in Engineering Technology (or similar) with practical work experience.
