Position Summary

Roseburg Designer and Manufacturer of Engineered Pumping Systems. We are seeking a person with civil engineering and/or mechanical engineering who is capable of learning how to provide the preliminary design for wastewater and stormwater pumping systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develop preliminary pumping system designs from information provided by the Sales Department.
• Review Site Civil Plans and other project information in order to develop a preliminary design.
• Discuss aspects of any pumping system in order to clearly understand the intent and/or objective of any proposed project.
• Interface directly with Romtec Utilities Sales, Design, Engineering in order to clarify the objective of each project and then determine the best structural, mechanical and electrical design.
• Interface directly with various vendors and Romtec Estimating in order to determine the Romtec cost for each proposed pumping system.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

It is critical that the Engineer in Training:

· Is a motivated, self-starter with strong written and verbal communication.

· Able to read side civil/mechanical/electrical plans.

· Has professional Sales or Customer Service experience.

· Has strong computer skills.

· Understands Civil Construction Principles and Methods

Other Qualifications:

• 2-Year Degree Preferred
• Understanding of the public procurement process is a plus
• Has general construction experience with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering work.
• Strong understanding of Electrical is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
