The job location for Larson Electronics is 9419 E US HWY 175, Kemp, TX 75143.
(Southeast of Dallas between Mabank and Kaufman).

We are looking for a recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering to draft and design a wide variety of projects for portable lighting and power distribution. Larson takes on a wide variety of new product line extensions, custom builds and new design ideas which are a great way to develop your skills as a mechanical engineer.

The Mechanical Engineer/Drafter will provide product development engineering support using SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation to capture complex design. The engineer will be responsible for drafting products as well as provide design concepts through prototyping.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to follow Larson Electronics' engineering review procedure on all projects
• Create models of existing products in Solidworks
• Assist in mathematical calculation and solve design issues
• Draw up parts for the machinists and table operators based on company designs
• Assist in design/fabrication issues on the fabrication floor
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project completion
• Complete projects on time as assigned or directed by the Production Engineer

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Recent graduates will be considered.)
• Strong Solidworks Skills
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude
• Good Interpersonal Skills (You will interact with the welders and machinists.)
• Self-driven and Goal Oriented
• Strong Time Management Skills (Can quickly draw up designs)
