Concierge internal medicine practice seeks a full-time EXPERIENCED MEDICAL ASSISTANT. We are a small office in Boynton Beach with two providers , You must be able to handle all back office responsibilities as well as help with front office duties, as needed. The ideal candidate is a team player, highly dependable, and well-organized. Office hours are 8:30am – 4:30pm- employee hours 8:00am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities

- Work directly with MD's to provide the best in patient care

- Provide excellent customer service to our patients

- Checking patients in and out, taking vitals, EKG, and other tests as directed

- Shows patients to exam rooms, obtains and accurately documents patient history and current medications in EMR

- Independently performs one-hour pre-physicals

- Turns over patient rooms and sets up for the next patient

- Phlebotomy and other lab duties, including preparing specimens

- Immunization and proper documentation for state-mandated reporting

- Place lab requisitions at appropriate labs depending on patient insurance, facilitate outside imaging and other diagnostic testing for patients

- Assist in answering phones, scheduling appointments, and taking messages

- Maintain medical equipment and supplies, including stocking and organized exam rooms and lab

- Send prescriptions to pharmacies as directed by the physician with proper documentation in EMR

- Work in a team environment, maintaining professional relationships with patients, staff, and visitors

- Other duties as necessary

Qualifications:

- Must have five years of medical office experience, preferably doing both front and back work

- Solid understanding of medical terminology and medications

- EMR experience is required, Athena experience is highly preferred

- Experience using Quest online ordering system, Care360 and LabCorp

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Must be willing to work in both the front and back office as this is a small practice

- Ability to multi-task, handle interruptions and demonstrate good clinical judgment

- Must absolutely be dependable and able to be at work every day
