Job Description

Our Client, the leader in ophthalmic environments has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Microvellum Engineer within our organization. The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable, detailed, and customer-oriented. This position reports to the office 5 days a week.

General Summary

Principal Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Develops 3D models of existing, legacy, and new products.
  • Create and update engineering specifications for products and components.
  • Solve engineering design problems using analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Creates part drawings and detail sheets for use in production.
  • Understand basic project management concepts, risk assessment/management, product costing, manufacturing cells, and other deliverables necessary to produce products and components to specification.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining bills of materials and routings in Microvellum.
  • Work closely with Costing, Design, and Manufacturing to design, implement, and improve new and existing products.
  • Microvellum experience and/or training are required.
  • CNC Programming experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience with Microvellum - 2020 Pattern Systems - Cabinet Vision - KCD - Cabinet Pro - Inventor Helpful.

Job Specifications/Experience

  • The candidate must be proficient in using AutoCAD.
  • Must have 5 - 7 years' experience.
  • In-depth experience developing and entering product bills of materials and routings in software.
  • Experience with new product development.
  • Strong knowledge of wood and metal-based products, materials, and processes.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
  • Project management experience.
  • Will train right individuals on the current system.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
