Job Description

Security is the first person our guests at MINIBOSS interact with. Besides having the very important task of ensuring our guests and staff are safe, Security also sets forth the tone for the experience ahead. Security should be firm and stand fast, but polite and gracious to our guests at all times.

Principal Duties & Job Responsibilities

- Security is responsible for setting up the exterior of our establishment, as well as bringing the items (signage, stanchions, etc.) back inside at end of the shift, among other opening & closing procedures

- Abiding by the four-point check systems of:

• Genuine greeting
• Establish if they’ve been to MINIBOSS
• Check ID’s/Vaccination Records
• Explanation/reminder of the ordering process as we have a unique service strategy

Other responsibilities include:

• Maintains the flow of business and knows when to hold the door and how to control the flow of service.
• Communicates effectively with Management regarding the start and stop of the door flow, the number of guests inside building, thorough restroom checks, etc.
• Uses the power of words and persuasion and knows that physical intervention is an absolute last resort.
• Must be CA Guard Card certified (or must obtain one within 30 days) and performs the functions of his role in abidance to the rules and standards of the State of California.
• Security guard actively scans the floor and regularly checks the restrooms and employee restroom for activity (when on interior patrol).
• Provides support to Food Runner staff in politely clearing patrons out of the way if broken glassware/plateware needs to be swept up/mopped up.
• Keeps the walkways/employee lanes clear and ensures there is a clear line of sight to emergency exits.
• Ensures all patrons have left the facility at time of close, and politely but firmly presses resilient patrons to be out before designated close time.
• MUST HAVE WEEKEND AVAILABILITY (Thursday-Sunday) AND BE ABLE TO START AT 4:30 PM EVERYDAY

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
