Job Overview
We have put together a very strong package for the right individual to join us as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist. In supporting the function of our laboratory, the MLT/MLS will obtain samples and perform laboratory testing, including quality control, instrument maintenance, analytical and post analytical review.

Schedule: 72 hours per pay period, able to work all shifts, but primarily afternoons with rotating weekends and holidays.
Core Duties
· Performs phlebotomy and ECGs using personal protective equipment, safety devices, and standard precautions. Always follows proper patient identification protocols.
· Proficient in microscopic technique to perform urinalysis, hematology, and bacteriology procedures.
· Performs preventive maintenance in assigned areas to keep equipment in optimal working order. Understands principals of quality control and abides by established guidelines.
Core Competencies
· Proactive approach for problem-solving and facilitates timely communication.
· Ability to effectively operate standard office equipment and software including Microsoft Office.
· Maintains confidentiality of information and privacy compliance.
Key Qualifications—Medical Laboratory Technician
· Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or successful completion of NCCLS approved program.
· Laboratory certification with ASCP or equivalent. (Certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire date.)

· Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or successful completion of NCCLS approved program.
· Laboratory certification with ASCP or equivalent. (Certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire date.)
