Central New York Cardiology is a busy 15-Physician Cardiology Specialty practice located in Utica, NY, currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

An NP/PA with Central New York Cardiology is an integral part of the Provider team at CNY Cardiology. The current team of mid-level providers is between 8-9 providers and they share rotations in the following areas:
- Rotate on a weekly basis between St. Elizabeth's and St. Luke's Hospitals and patient visits in Utica Office and/or satellite offices. Will share a weekend rotation with the mid-level team and have two days off subsequent to that weekend.
-Hospital rotations consist of patient rounds (physical exam, review of labs, testing, medications), ordering of appropriate testing, medications or consultations. Includes admitting, discharging and cardiovascular consultations. Will also discharge patients; which requires evaluation of patient to determine if appropriate for discharge, check surgical sites, review EKGs, complete d/c dictation and d/c instructions. Physician is available in the Hospital at the time of mid-level rounds.
-Office rotation consists of follow-up appointments with established patients in the Utica or satellite offices, with approximately two patients per hour. Consults with new patients will also be scheduled. The mid-level provider is "linked" with a physician and will conduct office appointments in conjunction with an MD.
There is opportunity to learn and perform patient visits associated with the Practice's Pacemaker and ICD Clinic as well as the Valve Clinic.
CNYC is looking for an energetic individual who enjoys patient care and a multi-faceted position in a very busy practice.
It is preferable that candidates have Cardiology and Hospital experience.
