Seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant with experience in traditional Primary Care. Blue Sky MD Health is Sylvia’s Premier Primary Care office located in beautiful downtown Sylva, NC.

We are looking for a professional Nurse Practitioner /Physician's Assistant who can deliver primary medical care to a wide variety of patients. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician's Assistant will be responsible for caring for patients, in an innovative outpatient setting. The successful candidate will work as a team with our nurses and physicians and will assist in delivering exceptional care to each and every patient.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform initial patient screenings and patient history and physical examinations
• Analyze test data and determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options
• Deliver quality care while maintaining all company metrics pertaining to productivity
• Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling and provide guidance for any patients with critical conditions
• Prepare and update patient records through our EHR system, eClinical Works and publish test results to our online medical care portal
• Treat patients for family medical ailments and order blood work, preform basic procedures and interpret tests as needed
• Create comprehensive treatment plans
• Establish rapport with patients and encourage them to talk with you candidly and frankly
• Provide advice on healthy habits and practices for patients based on their current health status
• Desire to be part of a holistic/integrated care team
• Skills Required:
• Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license or Physician Assistant licensure in NC
• Ability to work within a team and take direction
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• 3+ years’ experience in primary care
• Confidence to work independently
