CHI Insurance Agency is a family-owned independent insurance agency with nearly six decades of doing business in the Pioneer Valley and surrounding regions. We have locations in Holyoke, South Hadley, Westfield and Springfield.

We are seeking a full-time Personal Lines CSR for one of our locations.

• ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE AS AN AUTO AND/OR HOME INSURANCE CSR.
• ACTIVE P&C LICENSE PREFERRED.
• BILINGUAL (ANY LANGUAGE) HIGHLY ENCOURAGED.

Responsibilities and Duties

-Prepares and maintains summaries of insurance, schedules, files, proposals and updates client files as needed for new and renewal accounts.

-Markets renewals, handles rewrites or new business policies as needed, contacts clients, creates renewal proposals and handles other renewal / rewrite / new business activities independently.
-As needed performs rating plan analyses, quote comparisons, and other analytical functions.
-Review policies for clients upon request
-Handles client policy change requests and needs throughout policy year, including company contact, endorsement requests and follow-ups and their review.
-Handle new clients and policies following the agency's new business guidelines
-Managing the daily workload - renewals, marketing, endorsements, etc.
-Proactively and independently resolves client problems.
-Documents all customer service transactions including but not limited to phone conversations and the processing of daily work via QQ Catalyst, our management system.
-Uses agency credit and collection policy in invoicing and pursuing prompt payments.
-Processes and follows up on cancellation or endorsement requests to carriers to ensure accurate and timely resolution; maintains agency in financial equity whenever possible.

-Actively participates in and supports the training endeavors of the agency.

-Assists and completes other tasks as directed by agency management

Qualifications and Skills

-A "client first" outlook and solid customer service skills.
-Excellent in-person, phone, and email communication skills, a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
-Personal lines insurance experience and thorough knowledge of the industry.
-Excellent computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft word, excel, and outlook.
-An active Massachusetts P&C preferred.
-Candidates must be fluent in English; bilingual desired.
