Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

Pay Ranges (per hour): $57 (Min.) $63 (Mid.) $80 (Max.)

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM

Pharmacy Schedule: Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM

Job Type: Full-time, no weekends, in person

Advantage Healthcare Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC). The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the daily activities of the Pharmacy, taking charge to improve workflow and staff efficiencies, and fulfill performance metrics set forth by the organization's leadership team. A strong candidate will be assertive, organized, and disciplined. We are looking for a Pharmacist, who understands how to manage pharmacy workflow/priorities and is willing to do whatever it takes to confidently run the pharmacy.

This position will be working at our pharmacy located in Pasadena, California from Monday to Friday with NO weekends. We offer life, dental, vision, and health insurance, as well as paid time off, holiday pay, and 401k with matching for full-time employees.

Main Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily and all activities of the Pharmacy
• Ensure growth and profitability of the Pharmacy
• Resolve conflicts within the pharmacy
• Improve the efficiency of the Pharmacy
• Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders
• Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, applicable to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Dispense medications by packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals
• Handle and resolve customer issues, complaints, and questions to build customer trust and loyalty
• Comply with all federal and state laws and regulations
• Ensure excellent customer service and proficiency by Pharmacy associates
• Maintain a clean and efficient Pharmacy
• Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies
• Maintain records for controlled substances
• Other duties as necessary

Requirements:

• Has experience in insurance billing
• Has at least one year as a Pharmacist
• Must have California Pharmacist license in good standing and adhere to all federal/state laws

Preferred Qualities:

• Previous experience with the behavioral health population
• Previous experience in a Long Term Care Pharmacy
• Previous experience as a PIC, Pharmacy Manager, or related position
• Previous experience in bubble/blister packaging
• Previous experience with DigitalRx
• Previous experience managing at least 25 employees
• Bilingual in Spanish/English
