Job Description :

Renal and Transplant Associates of New England (RTANE) is a leader in the treatment and management of various forms of kidney disorders. Our group is seeking a full time PA to practice under the direction of our skilled nephrologist in our Western, Ma location.

As a valued addition to our hospital team you would work under the supervision of the physician, but may work independently, consulting with physicians when necessary. You should have experience in all areas of medicine but may specialize in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices preferred.

To be successful, you should be formally educated to examine patients, diagnose, and provide treatment. You should demonstrate strong attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule:

  • 4 days a week at 10hrs or 5 days a week at 8 hours
  • One weekend a month

Physican Assistant Duties

  • Interviewing, examining, and diagnosing patients' illnesses.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribing medications and suggesting lifestyle changes.
  • Reviewing and maintaining patients' medical histories and records and recording patients' progress.
  • Providing documentation for insurance companies.
  • Educating and counseling patients and their families
  • Rounding on Dialysis Patients
  • Performing some procedures

Requirements: A master's degree in physician assistant

  • Clinical training experience
  • A state license for Massachusetts
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Detail oriented with good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy.
