We are currently seeking a Product Manager (Rug Specialist) to execute all facets of product development and its associated activities, with a dual focus on bringing quality products to market on time, as well as ongoing strategic research and planning for future growth plans. This position directly manages all aspects of a product’s life cycle, from concept ideas to shipment, including direct pricing negotiations with overseas vendors, product design trouble-shooting, and cross-functional meetings with Marketing and Design to ensure consistent brand execution across all product assets. In this position you will serve as the go-to point person for Sales, Marketing, QA, Purchasing and Customer Service on all individual products and product lines managed.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Manage full cycle of projects from initial competitive research phase to concept ideas and all the way through to product launch
• Manage and communicate all aspects of product design as the liaison between design team and vendors’ teams of designers
• Researching rug products and style trends.
• Manage products in multiple product categories, requiring broad product knowledge as well as the acquiring of additional category-specific knowledge as needed
• Analyze market and sales data as a means of staying current on internal and external product and category performance as well as conduct ongoing product research in multiple consumer channels
• Create competitive profiles for various product segments, stay abreast of new and shifting trends within the marketplace, and help identify strategic growth areas
• Liaise with Creative team to establish goals and scope of graphic design materials; manage checkpoints in design process to ensure projects stay on schedule
• Troubleshoot problems, manage product schedules on staggered time lines, and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
• Analyze and control costs including manufacturing cost, marketing cost, and operation cost
• Coordinate with Marketing and Sales Team to boost profit for each product

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or above, Business analytics or mathematics major is a plus
• Proficient in Mandarin & English
• 3-5 years of experience in rug assortment planning, merchandising and/or product planning
• Prefer experience specifically in E-Commerce
• Multitasking and the ability to shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Be able to attention to detail and strong interpersonal abilities
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, Microsoft Office
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
