Job Title: Product Owner

Location: Hybrid (onsite Mondays and Thursdays)

Role: Theoris Services is helping one of our clients find a Product Owner. Under the direction of the IT Director, the Product Owner is responsible for working with both the Scrum teams and product management to ensure the effective application of Agile practices under the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The primary objective of this role is to translate the business vision, goals, and objectives such that the Scrum teams can successfully plan and implement valuable solutions.

This role is very visible as you will work with many business areas, work to resolve any issues, and prioritize backlog. The ideal candidate will influence without authority - get everyone to play nice together and work towards the same goal.

Day-to-day:

• Works with product management, specifically Product Managers, to understand their vision and gains a detailed knowledge of their objectives
• Serves as the primary owner of a set of products (applications). Fully understands the functionality of the products and stays current with available updates
• Translates their vision and objectives into stories that development teams can use to build products and features
• Writes acceptance criteria for stories and features. Measures the team’s solutions against this criterion and either accepts or rejects the solutions
• Acts as liaison between customer and software developers, and works to remove roadblocks

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent (Associate’s is fine)
• 5+ years’ experience in IT development-related positions
• 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager, Business Analyst or Product Owner

Desirable Skills

• Retail or supply chain experience very helpful
• SAFe Agile experience

Pay: $98,584.30 - $118,725.18 per year
