Quality Assurance Specialist
Education Requirements for Quality Assurance Specialist:
- Bachelor's Degree from 4-year college or university
- Three to four years of experience involving Six Sigma, ISO 9001, Quality Project Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to obtain Quality Auditor Certification
- Strong background and knowledge of ISO 9000
Competencies Needed for Quality Assurance Specialist:
- Ability to evaluate information to determine compliance with standards
- Ability to monitor and review information related to materials, events, or the environment to detect or assess problems.
- Ability to identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts, design workflows and procedures, requiring a strong attention to detail
- Ability to clearly communicate with supervisors and peers by phone, email, or in person.
- Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Essential Functions for Quality Assurance Specialist:
- Review new or modified programs, including documentation, diagram, and flow chart, to determine if programs will perform according to Florim USA standard of quality and conform to ISO guidelines.
- Recommend program improvements or correction to Quality Manager
- Set up tests/reviews at request of management to locate and correct operating errors in Quality Systems.
- Conduct compatibility tests with vendor provided quality programs.
- Coordinate the ISO maintenance duties for calibration of equipment used for measuring; Maintains records.
- Monitor program performance after the implementation to prevent recurrence of quality operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
- Provide training for ISO 9001 Standard for company employees.
- Review quality documentation in several areas and departments of the plant.
- Review and approve specifications submitted by contractors.
- Inspect products and processes when required.
- Measure and report specific process parameters for product realization when required.
- Write documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.
