Job Description :

This position is responsible for assisting the R&D and Purchasing Department in generating and developing new product formulations, sourcing ingredients, and reformulation from bench top through manufacturing scale-up. This position is both technical and hands-on and will be working in a lab and office environment as well as a production setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support product development activities including formulation, problem solving, pricing and benchtop samples creation (organoleptic evaluations, flavoring, and ingredient selection).
  • Contribute to new product development initiatives in a group setting with creative and/or innovative ideas.
  • Report results and maintain open communication with the involved departments.
  • Ensure product formulation and master manufacturing records are maintained accurately and completed in line with organizational procedures.
  • Ensure that projects and tasks are completed in accordance with applicable SOPs.
  • Ensure that priorities and deliverables are in alignment with the company's objectives.
  • Effectively manage time and priorities to ensure timelines and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Assist in the analysis and testing of new and/or existing products to ensure functionality and performance and modify the product if necessary.
  • Create finished product and raw materials specifications.
  • Assist in sourcing required ingredients for R&D trials to scale up.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge, or easily trainable, pertaining to the nutraceutical industry and must be well versed in a variety of ingredients, their usage, forms, activities and all other relevant physical characteristics. • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, as well as compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
  • Familiarity with the metric system
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word / Excel) and/or Google Docs & Sheets

Education

Minimum High School Diploma/Certificate; and 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in an FDA regulated field.
