Position Summary:
Manages employees and first-level managers performing management activities across multiple (2 or more) Quality Management Job Families. Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies. Provides education and coaching on the Quality System. Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports. Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops, administers and maintains quality assurance procedures and activities required to ensure that the company's products are following quality standards
• Leads/manages Quality Leadership Review (QLR) activities
• Lead/coach Process Improvement teams across Functions
• Reviews quality control requirements with customer representative assuring compliance with requirements; works with customer quality control representatives to coordinate inspection and acceptance activities. Reviews contractually required documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Establishes and measures performance metrics including Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
• Performs RCCA (Root Cause/Corrective Action) and Risk Mitigation as needed to maintain metrics and reduce Cost of Poor Quality
• Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

• 6-8 years of related work experience
• 4-6 of supervisory experience
• Equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience
• Six Sigma (Greenbelt or Lean)
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Strong analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
• In-depth knowledge of drawings, MIL-Standards, and customer requirements
• Knowledgeable of AS9100/9120 Standard
• Proficient computer skills and thorough knowledge of MS Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient communication skills in regards, to performance, coaching, disciplinary
• FAA, CAA, EASA Experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering or related field of study (Master’s Degree preferred)

• 8-10 years of related work experience
• 6-8 years of supervisory experience
• Experience in Aerospace quality control and inspection
• Understanding of Aviation Regulatory Compliance
