RN specialist circulator is the person accountable for managing the care of the pediatric and adult patient requiring a surgical procedure that requires moderate to complex assessments, interventions and levels of nursing vigilance. This RN works with center’s supervisory team, staff, and physicians to develop, implement, and deliver specialized nursing care to patients in accordance with recognized standards of operating room care as defined by the California State Board of Nursing, AORN and Sansum Clinic which will ensure the quality of care to the patients.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid license in the State of California as a Registered Nurse. Extra certifications pertaining to field of specialty preferable but not required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at time of hire is required. Dual certification in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required within the first 90 days of hire.
• A minimum of one (1) or two (2) years recent acute care or ambulatory care experience as an RN is preferred or experience in specific specialty.
