We're looking for a savvy sales assistant to support our meat and seafood sales team in our Atlantic Highlands office.

You’ll be working closely with our sales manager and his team to take care of their portfolio of foodservice and retail accounts throughout the tri-state area. In the sales assistant role you will eventually have an opportunity for promotions to salesperson where you could grow your career and earnings substantially.

Your main tasks:

• Take phone orders and call accounts for orders.
• Liaise with the marketing team to build promotions.
• Enter sales orders into our Netsuite ERP.
• Assist with credit application processing and accounts receivables.
• Manage and oversee trade show equipment and inventory.
• Other administrative duties to assist our sales manager.
• You may also be assigned some of your own accounts and receive regular guidance and training on our products, systems and sales skills.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is smart, personable and motivated to deliver top service to our customers.
• Has strong technical skills.
• Is interested in sales and is motivated to work hard and have a big impact.
• Has some food experience in food service, retail or something related.
• Understands ingredients, in particular meat and seafood.
