Senior Analysts-Online Analytics are responsible for leading small to medium subsets of larger projects and conducting advanced analytics in order to provide actionable insights to THD Senior Leadership to support strategic decisions within Marketing, Operations, and Merchandising. They must possess a high level of analytical ability to distinguish multiple components of a problem, an innate curiosity to ask and answer the next logical question, and the ability to develop conclusions using quantitative, qualitative, exploratory, and predictive data analysis skills (such as attribution modeling, forecasting, recommendations, profiling, and clustering). Key responsibilities include but are not limited to leading projects, effective communication to teams and other leaders, reviewing, understanding and storytelling with operational/online (Adobe Clickstream)/sales/financial data, proactively identifying trends in the business and providing actionable business insights to drive strategic and operational decisions. A successful Senior Insights Business Analyst will possess and demonstrate strong leadership skills, analytical ability, communication, cross functional collaboration, and a flexibility to take on an array of projects.

• 20% Work with other departments providing analytical insight on business performance.
• 20% Research and analyze business trends & customer behavior data to identify opportunities for website enhancements.
• 20% Analyze web analytics data as well as other offline data to evaluate site performance.
• 10% Work with the Web Analyst to provide weekly Web Analytic dashboards.
• 10% Takes the lead on new programs and initiatives for Web Analytics Team.
• 10% Provide web analytics strategy to Specialty Channel.

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

• Experience working within a retail organization or corporate strategic planning group
• Experience extracting data and generating insights from large transactional data sets
• Familiarity with data mining & statistical methods (regression, factor analysis, clustering, etc)
• Experience with creative data visualization techniques
• Working SQL knowledge gained through prior work experience or coursework
• Masters degree in Data Science/Analytics
