The Senior Software Developer Lead is a senior level technologist who not only is an expert software developer in a broad range of languages, tools and technologies, but also demonstrates strong leadership skills in building a strong development team around them to achieve company objectives.

The role must be highly proficient in all phases of software development as well as possess intricate understanding of complex ERP systems from prior applicable experience including shopping carts, checkout processes, complex pricing systems, billing and packaging systems, provisioning and APIs, DNS, payment gateways, automation, security, etc.

This role is accustomed to digging in and learning complex, custom software systems conceptually and practically in order to maintain operations, improve and refactor if necessary.

The role is expected to establish and drive best practices across the software development lifecycle and lead others to high quality output of scalable, high availability and resilient software programs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Devise effective solutions for daily operational needs;

Design and develop requested new features in Domain Admin projects that are compatible with the existing software and operational frameworks;

Maintain existing features in Domain Admin projects in working order;

Effectively monitor and address daily events as needed;

Identify ways to refactor and optimize the existing legacy software to make it more productive, readable and consistent.

Mentor other developers in best practices, system design, and software architecture.

Additional Responsibilities:

Monitor various error logs and communication channels, and be proactive in detecting, locating and fixing urgent software issues.

Travel as requested by management for team functions.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 10+ years advanced proficiency with PHP, SQL, C++, ActiveMQ, Javascript, Java;
• 10+ years advanced knowledge of HTML, XML and CSS;
• 10+ years experience with APIs. Experience with domain name EPP protocol a plus;
• 10+ years of experience with shopping carts, payment gateways, and ERP software systems
• 10+ years of experience
• 5+ years experience with DNS and the domain name system
• 5+ years experience in a lead or technical managerial role leading teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
