Position Details

You will be part of a team that functions as the nexus of many important systems at Grainger. Being able to have a high-level understanding of these systems and web application architecture and development is a must. Our monoliths are being broken up and we are transitioning to cloud technologies. This includes the User Interface layers of our applications. We will work together to build a Design System, user interface components, and a framework with tooling to enable teams of engineers to build high-quality, accessible, and fast experiences for our customers and users.

We will also help develop a way to compose all of those experiences in to one for our customers and users. We care about and empathize with the humans who will use what we build – our customers, employee users, and fellow engineers. We'll work with engineers from other teams, User Experience professionals, and product owners to develop the specifications to which we will build. We will also work with those same partners to then share knowledge and teach teams about the things we have just built and how to use them, taking feedback to further refine our products.

You will be part of a team of eight Software Engineers and Tech Lead and will report to the Sr Manager, eCommerce Engineering.
