We are seeking a self-motivated and organized software engineer that has strong analytical and debugging skills to join our organization. We are a leading manufacturer of coating thickness and elemental analysis instrumentation and looking for a team member to keep us ahead of the competition. The ideal candidate must be well rounded and be willing to do more than just write software.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Continue development of a C# application for controlling analytical instruments.
• New feature development and bug fixes.
• GUI design and implementation.
• Develop algorithms to improve instrument performance.
• Participate in code reviews and software release testing.
• Create release documentation and operating manuals.
• Troubleshoot software/hardware problems in-house and occasionally at customers.
• Communicate with distributors, sales reps and customers.
• Involvement in determining product features and direction.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering.
• C#, C++ or other applicable OOP experience.
• Windows WinForms development.
• Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 3-5+ years previous experience in a related role.
• Experience with writing software for machine / instrument control a plus.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
